Bryan Singer announced via his Twitter feed that American Horror Story actor Evan Peters has been cast to play Pietro Maximoff, aka Quicksilver in the upcoming movie X-Men: Days of Future Past. According to numerous reports, Joss Whedon had hinted that Quicksilver and his sister Wanda Maximoff, aka The Scarlet Witch would be in next summer’s sequal to The Avengers. Whedon had said in an interview that his version of Wanda Maximoff would be close to actress Saoirse Ronan, which has led many to believe that she would be or was in talks to be cast the roll.

Until then, we’ll have to wonder and wait for the many leaked updates concerning the two movie franchises, which seem to be headed for a future crossover that could once again change the frontier of super hero movies for years to come.
